Dawnstone

Terms of Service

Last updated: May 10, 2026

The website

Dawnstone is built and operated by Dongjun Kim, an independent developer. By using dawnstone.app, you agree to these terms. When “we” or “us” appears below, it refers to Dongjun Kim.

The app

The Dawnstone iOS app is licensed to you under Apple's Standard EULA, unless we provide a custom EULA inside the app. Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds are governed by the App Store.

Content

Dawnstone's card content is sourced from public-domain translations of Stoic philosophy (Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus) by 19th-century translators. The text_original field is verbatim from these public-domain sources. The text_short and text_medium fields are our own modernizations, licensed alongside the app.

You may quote individual cards on social media or in personal writing with attribution to the original Stoic author. Wholesale republication of the card collection requires permission.

Acceptable use

Don't use the app or this website to violate any law, harass anyone, or attempt to bypass purchase mechanisms.

No warranty

The app and website are provided as-is. We make no warranty that they will always be available or error-free. We'll do our best.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the app or website is limited to the amount you've paid us in the prior twelve months (which is zero for Free users, and the subscription or one-time fee for Pro users).

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
