Common questions
How do I add the lock screen widget?
On iPhone, long-press the lock screen, tap Customize, then Lock Screen, then tap a widget slot below the clock. Choose Dawnstone from the widget list. The lock screen widget is a Pro feature.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
In the Dawnstone app, open Settings and tap Manage Subscription. This deep-links to the iOS Settings page where you can cancel or change your plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
I cancelled but I still have Pro access.
That's expected. Cancelling means “don't renew next time.” You keep Pro access until your current period ends. If you want an immediate refund, Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The trial says 3 days but I want longer.
The 3-day trial is a fixed introductory offer per Apple ID. If you need more time to decide, the Monthly option at $7.99 is a low-risk way to evaluate Pro for a month.
Can I get Pro on more than one device?
Yes. Pro is tied to your Apple ID, so all your iPhones and iPads signed in with the same Apple ID share Pro. The Lifetime plan also supports Family Sharing.
Where do the texts come from?
We use public-domain 19th-century translations of Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, and Epictetus (George Long, Gummere, and others), then carefully modernize them into shorter forms while preserving the original wording for the Pro Origin tier.
Can I request a card or report a typo?
Yes, email us. Cards are updated periodically. We can't guarantee inclusion of suggested passages but we read them all.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. iOS is the v1 release. Android is planned for a later version.
